WARDOGS Roadmap: Early Access Plans, Consoles and Pricing

Short answer

BULKHEAD expects WARDOGS to stay in Steam Early Access for around one to two years, according to the developer Q&A on the Steam store page. The studio says the exact length may change depending on development and community feedback. Consoles are planned for 2028. No date has been announced for the full release.

The developer Q&A lists these plans for Early Access and beyond:

• More maps, weapons, vehicles and gameplay variety.
• New vehicle types, including fighter jets.
• Expanded weapon categories and additional objective variations.
• Deeper progression systems and a stronger seasonal metagame.
• Systems that reward players for combat, support or logistics.
• Ongoing work on balance, performance and stability.

The metagame: Black Market, Vault and Player Skills

In April 2026, BULKHEAD said it will build a metagame during Early Access. It named the Black Market and Vault, and a Player Skills and Challenge System. The goal is to let players keep earning and progressing outside matches. The design exists, but these systems will arrive over the course of Early Access, and no dates have been given.

Monetisation promises

In its August 2026 pre-order announcement, BULKHEAD made three commitments:

1. No monetisation at any point during Early Access.
2. In-game cash and Gold Bars will never be sold. They must be earned through play.
3. Camos will never be sold directly.

An optional Supporter Edition is sold on Steam for $49.99.
